CPTC Updates Minimum Racer Registration Requirement

To continue improving the racing experience for both competitors and spectators, CPTC has approved a change to the minimum number of racers required for a class to be run at a race event.

Effective for the upcoming season, the minimum number of registered racers required for a class to race will increase from 3 racers to 5 racers.

To be eligible to run, a class must have at least five registered racers by midnight on the Monday prior to the race weekend. If a class does not meet the minimum registration requirement by the deadline, that class will be cancelled for that event. Any racers who have registered for a class that is cancelled due to insufficient entries will receive a full refund of their registration fees.

This change is being made to strengthen competition on the track, improve the overall race program, and provide spectators with the exciting, competitive racing they expect from a CPTC event. Larger class sizes create better racing, more passing opportunities, and a more enjoyable experience for racers and fans alike.

The new policy will also help CPTC manage event schedules more efficiently and ensure that resources are focused on classes with sufficient participation.

We encourage racers to register early to help ensure their class meets the minimum requirement.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to deliver the best ice oval racing experience possible at CPTC.
